Children’s Extensive Supports

Our CES department at PPCH provides intensive in-home support to children and their families which allows the child to remain in the family home while providing relief and support to their caregivers. Our staff are trained in developmental disabilities, and behavioral interventions in order to meet the needs of the children we serve. We also have a CES specific nurse to ensure staff supporting youth with medical needs are appropriately prepared and comfortable to provide necessary supports.

Foster

Providing Loving Homes for Colorado’s Children
Our Foster Care Program partners with all Colorado counties to serve children in need. Children served through our program may have developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, or trauma-related parenting needs and our foster parents are matched carefully with children based on the needs of the child and the skill set and experience of the foster parents.

Children’s Intensive Services

Children’s Intensive Services

Historically, services under the CHRP waiver were typically provided to children and teenagers in the foster care system.  As of July 2019, the CHRP waiver allows children and teenagers with complex medical and/or behavioral support needs, ages 0 through 20 years old, to access services both in and out of the family home. This includes the possibility of out of home placements that no longer need to involve the foster care system.   Additional services have been added to the waiver, with the goal of supporting families to meet the needs of their children in the family home, including wrap-around supports.
